Nathan was nurse for 12 years while completing an MSc in statistics and an MRes in clinical research and beginning a BSc in physics. While he finishes that he is undertaking a PhD at UCL in mathematical modelling in biology – specifically looking to develop statistical techniques to interpret spectroscopic data to improve the diagnosis of solid tumours. Drawn towards theoretical problems, Nathan one day hopes to develop a mathematical model of abiogenesis.
